International Student Travel

Armidale is a vibrant city located inland from the coast, approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, and is the ‘capital’ of the New England region of New South Wales. 

Armidale has a regional airport with a number of daily return flights to and from Sydney. Armidale is serviced by two separate airlines, QantasLink through Qantas airlines and Regional Express (REX) Airlines. Timetables for these flights can be found on the website of the airlines listed below.

There is also a daily return rail service between Sydney and Armidale with NSWTrainLink (formerly known as CountryLink).

Train services depart Sydney Central Station at 9.30 am arriving in Armidale at 5.35 pm the same day. Services from Armidale depart at 8.40 am and arrive in Sydney at 4.39 pm. Organising travel between a student’s home country and Armidale is the responsibility of families, however, travel between Sydney and Armidale can be organised by the school with advanced notice.
