Medical Centre

TAS has a well-equipped Medical Centre with two fully qualified Sisters rostered for duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week for dispensing medical assistance, care and comfort to our students.

The Medical Centre is an independent building within the school grounds that has 12 beds for students should they need attention and care during the school day, in the evening or at weekends.

The School doctor visits the Medical Centre on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, for routine consultations.

The duty nursing sister will be happy to organise other appointments for dentists, orthodontists, physiotherapists and other medical professionals as required, upon request.

The nursing sisters are also responsible for handling all medications, including over-the-counter medicines; students are not permitted to keep any medications in the boarding house unless authorised by the senior nurse.
